V. Connecting
I was invited by the associative bookstore Synusia to be part of a four session workshop on feminist writers that inspire us. The premise was to pick an author and share our knowledge of her work with other participants. Under the name of Musas (Muses) and from a feminist perspective, the series was divided in three sessions where the presenter chose the author they would present to the group, and a fourth session where the assistants would be the ones sharing their muses. The format was open ended and each one of us created a session structure that aimed to break with pre-established, hegemonic and hierarchical teaching formats. Non of the presenter were experts, just people interested in learning and shearing knowledge.
My chosen author was Donna Haraway.
La librería asociativa Synusia me invitó a formar parte de un taller de cuatro sesiones sobre escritoras feministas que nos inspiran. La premisa era elegir una autora y compartir nuestro conocimiento de su trabajo con otras participantes. Bajo el nombre de Musas y desde una perspectiva feminista, la serie se dividió en tres sesiones donde las presentadoras eligieron la autora que presentarían al grupo, y una cuarta sesión donde las asistentes serían las que compartirían sus musas. El formato era abierto y cada una de nosotras creó una estructura de sesión que tenía como objetivo romper con los formatos de enseñanza preestablecidos, hegemónicos y jerárquicos. Ninguna de las presentadoras eran expertas, solo personas interesadas en aprender y compartir conocimientos.
Mi autora elegida fue Donna Haraway.
