::fourth mutation::
I wrote the poem ::fourth mutation:: as a result of a series of events that led me to think about death as a process of transformation of matter, another place to be, and of liberation from the ill body.
In this poem, several ideas and experiences come together, creating an imaginary in relation to the physical sensations of my sick body and the desire to escape it. A conversation with a friend about death as a physical place to be in another way, which occurs when matter changes, when it transforms. Listening repeatedly to Björk's music, especially the albums Biophilia and Medulla, and the song Oceania in particular. Watching videos of humpback whales and their calves swimming freely and nimbly in the ocean and recognizing their strength in the water, their habitat, and their potential fragility and vulnerability outside of it. Reconnecting with my favorite place since childhood: the water, which has always made me feel free, strong, calm, and pain-free.
The ::fourth mutation:: speaks of a body, mine, which is finally free because it has died. There is the liberation from the pain and illness of the body that death brings, but it is still a body that is matter, which still has some kind of consciousness, and where it feels most free is in the water, in the depths of the sea. As it decomposes, it ends up forming part of the plankton, which is what whales feed on, and thus ends up entering a whale and becoming part of another body and another flesh.
The work ::fourth mutation:: evokes the whale's baleen into which my body, transformed into plankton, will enter, accompanied by images of the creation process and baptism/healing ritual in the sea of the whale tattoo* I wear on my chest.
*The tattoos that cover my skin are another of the layers/strata of my body's history/s.

Escribí el poema ::cuarta mutación:: a raíz de un cruce de ocurrecias que me llevaron a pensar en la muerte como proceso de transformación de la materia, otro lugar en el que estar, y de liberación del cuerpo enfermo.
En este poema, se juntan varias ideas y experiencias creando un imaginario en relación a las sensaciones físicas de mi cuerpo enfermo y el deseo de escapar de este. Una conversación con una amiga sobre la muerte como lugar físico en el que estar de otra manera, que se da al cambiar la materia, al transformarse. Escuchar, repetidamente, la música de Björk, os albums Biophilia y Medulla en especial, la canción Oceania en particular. Mirar vídeos de ballenas jorobadas y sus crías nadar libre y agilmente en el oceano y reconocer su fuerza en el agua, su hábitat, y su potencial fragilidad y vulnerabilidad fuera de él . Reconectar así con mi lugar favorito des de la infancia, el agua, que siempre me ha hecho sentir libre, fuerte, calmada y sin dolor.
La ::cuarta mutación:: habla así de un cuerpo, el mío, que por fin es libre porque ha muerto. Hay la liberación en relación al dolor y la enfermedad del cuerpo que da la muerte, pero es un cuerpo sigue siendo materia, que sigue teniendo algún tipo de conciencia, y dónde más libre se siente es en el agua, en las profundidades del mar, y como se está descomponiendo, termina formando parte del plancton que es de lo que se alimentan las ballenas y acaba así entrando en una ballena y formando parte de otro cuerpo y de otra carne.
La obra ::cuarta mutación:: covoca a las barbas de la ballena en la que se adentrará mi cuerpo transformado en plancton, acompañadas por las imagenes de el proceso de creación y bautizo/ritual de cicatrización en el mar del tatuaje* de ballena que llevo en el pecho.
*Los tatuajes que cubren mi piel son otra de las capas/estratos de historia/s de mi cuerpo.
