VII. Discovery
I sincerely believe that for the child, and for parents seeking guidance, it is not even half as important to know as it is to feel. If facts are the seed that later produce knowledge and wisdom, then emotions and impressions of the senses are the fertile soil in which the seed must grow. The childhood years are time to prepare the soil. Once emotions have arisen, the sense of beauty, the enthusiasm for the new and the unknown, the feeling of sympathy, compassion, admiration or love, then we desire knowledge about the object of our commotion. Once you find it, it has a lasting meaning. It is more important to prepare the path of the child who wants to know than to give him/her a lot of data that he/she is not prepared to assimilate.
Yo sinceramente creo que para el niño/a, y para los padres que buscan guiarle, no es ni siquiera la mitad de importante conocer como sentir. SI los hechos son la semilla que más tarde producen el conocimiento y la sabiduría, entonces las emociones y las impresiones de los sentidos son la tierra fértil en la cual la semilla debe crecer. Los años de la infancia son tiempo para preparar la tierra. Una vez que han surgido las emociones, el sentido de la belleza, el entusiasmo por lo nuevo y lo desconocido, la sensación de simpatía, compasión, admiración o amor, entonces deseamos el conocimiento sobre el objeto de nuestra conmoción. Una vez que lo encuentras, tiene un significado duradero. Es más importante preparar el camino del niño/a que quiere conocer que darle un montón de datos que no está preparado para asimilar.
