The new year is here and so is a new beginning. I moved back to my native Spain last November and I am starting to settle in Barcelona. My new studio at home will be ready next week and I am hoping my boxes full of materials that I sent from overseas will get here by then too. I am looking forward to start producing.
October 2009
I have been busy packing my studio and my house in preparation to my return to Spain. My new base camp will be Barcelona. Many projects and plans are in the making, amongst them the opening of an art and culture project space. Stay tuned, there is more coming up.
In the mean time, my piece (Do)TOUCH will be on exhibition from October 23rd to November 21st at Antena.
September 2009
I am currently working on (involuntary) Memories, a project based on five childhood memories awakened by the taste and smell of food.
The work created for this project as well as a menu of dishes elaborated with ingredients that reference the memories will be presented during an opening reception at WHAT IT IS in Oak Park, IL on Saturday September 26th from 5 to 9 pm.
In collaboration with WHAT IT IS we have created a catalog containing the five memories' stories as well as images of some of the artworks.
